Just make sure you are comparing prices based on actual usage and not monthly payments. Some companies put you on way less to start off with then hike it up.

Look carefully at Standing Charges as well as £/kWh. Everything is not necessarily on an even playing field.

Yes, switched earlier in year. I have full records of my usage and provided them to Avro. They used the figures to calculate my annual bill using their advertised rates and got it right to the penny. They are now debiting 1/12 every month.
I had been with First Utility for 4 or 5 years. Very impressed with their customer service when I changed tariffs as they ran out and new ones came on line. I only changed because Avro were cheaper.
Avro debit you 1/12 in advance, First Utility was in arrears for amount actually used (but I think they have now dropped that facility).
