Sweeeeeeeeet.

Got 11 on friday night, took five shots to get out of thigh high rough after a shanked tee shot. Still shot 90 but ruined what would have been my best round ever. gutted

when im playing carp i seem to always put the long puts for a solid nine to keep a 10 off the card. shame on you brendy :D
Ha a 5 footer for a 9!
Drove a little left of the tee and had to go over trees, clipped a leaf and never found it again, played a provisional and overshot the green by 20 yards, fluffed first two chips in sticky grass, seventh onto the green miles from the hole and three putted. absolutely gobsmacked the first ball didnt appear anywhere, not like there was water or major obstacles to hide the ball, just a few trees.

Kellfire, never had a 10 ever, back when I took up golf, I practiced away from any course and only played for a year off 18, then down to 12 and then down to 6 within another year and a bit. Gave the game up while playing well off 6, rejoined a new club 6 years later and have been there since 2006, put my cards in and got 6.0, slowly but surely it has risen to 9 and to top it off hit 9.5 so can now call myself a crappy 10 handicapper hacker :D really not what I had in plan for the year but will be putting in some time on practice now as this has me in even worse twist than when I had the shanks for a few months earlier this year.
I'll maybe start a blog :P NOT!

I hadn't a 10 Brendy but close to it....Last weekend i had an 8 on our 1st par 4...Absolutely carp decision off the tee i played my 3Hybrid looking for a little extra just to carry a swale on the fairway and had it in my head to play my 5i which would have left me 140ish to the green....Anyhoooo....I pushed the 3h left into high grass and took a line and saw it bounce....I never played a provisional :o

Had my first ever 10 today, happened on our 1st hole too, what a start.

You should have gone around the windmill, not through it.

:)

Have you never had an 11 or 12 (or worse) then?

Plenty of 7's , some 8's and possibly a 9 but cant remember that one for sure. Certainly never a double figure before.

Yet again though, out of bed early enough that I could have went for some practice first, chose to sit with my little princesses for an hour instead, stopped for a takeaway coffee and sandwich, got to the clubhouse and tee'd of ten mins later still eating the sarnie and the coffee lasted til the third hole.
I had three pars after that and thought the boat had steadied, ended up 11 over for nine and didnt get a whol lot better in the back nine though didnt quite hit +20.

That is all.

C'mon Brendy you should know this... every post needs pictures of the **** who got a 10!

lol :D :D the mod has been modded! :D

Shhhhhh don't question a mod pete, the thread will be locked because "it's ran it's cause" in a minute  ;)

Also had a 14 with the same ball. 7 shots moved it forward less than a foot. Lots of effort, little to show for it. Always finish a poor hole with a 3 putt too.

I thought my post later on was descriptive enough, even you should know, junior, that there is no room on the card for pictures. :D

I had an 11 today , 2nd hole, topped two brand new pro v1x's (titleist test balls that obviously don't work) 20yds into the lake, playing 5 off the tee i then went right and behind a copse of trees where my only real option was to play backwards about 80yds finally got close to the green then thinned a wedge through the green and it reached another green beyond . drop off the green chip back and 2 putts later , card wrecked :o
it happens to us all , or it can do ;)
