So Freddie Shepherd never said that you were the 8th biggest club in the world then?

This may come as some shock to you and the rest of the world, but Freddie Shepherd did not speak for the Toon fans. He was the biggest cancer at our club and we are stil feeling the effects of him. Shepherd's views are the antithesis of most Toon fans.

And if you go onto the Newcastle fans message boards or FMTTM message boards they're not littered with posts bleating on about the fact that you are a big club because you get 55,000 or whatever deluded muppets in there every week?

And message boards are a great barometer aren't they? Sheesh. And when Boro can get their ground full for two weeks running, then you can comment upon turnout.

The same goes about winning stuff, at the start of every season on said message boards its all "we'll win the FA cup this season and finish 5th" or "we'll get the league cup and finish 5th" and its never "we'll win sod all and settle for mid table mediocrity!!

As before, while there's an internet, there will be idiots.

I think you need to have a better look at what the so called, self proclaimed best fans in the world are actually saying before you go spouting your mouth off on here.

As before you cretin the only people that make this claim are other fans. I am yet to meet a Toon fan that has ever referred to us as 'the best fans in the world'. If you want to get your 'facts' from the likes of Sky, then I pity you.

I'm glad you got relegated, it will hopefully be the reality check you lot so badly need!

Pettiness aside, I pray that relegation will cleanse the club at long, long last. This is the only salient point you made but then if you are from Boro, your brain is clearly damaged from the ICI fumes :p

Toonarmy, when we were in lumber under wendy ramos all we got on the spurs boards were newcastle saying how funny it would be if we went down and how we were a little club compared to newcastle.

And why would you care about the sort of morons who write on football message boards? So if a few Indians wrote on a message board that Spurs were rubbish would you take that as being indicative of all Indians?

Now Newcastle are down, I am ecstatic. I mean honestly, an honours list which has a fairs-cup win 50 years ago as its main boast. Sounds like a no-mark club to me.

Fairs Cup (or the UEFA cup as it actually was) is still a European trophy win. And what's the obsession with honours list? Does that tell you how old the club is? Or what it means to the local community? Would Spurs be any less of a club in your eyes if they had won nadge all?

And as for the "best fans in the world" cobblers, does booing your own players off at St James Park make you good fans?

Stop trotting out a line that is invented by the media and NEVER used by actual Newcastle fans. Try and get your own opinions. And if we want to boo off that shower of 5h1te for disgracing the shirt, we've got every bloody right to. The Spurs fans are always so vocal in their loyalty aren't they?

Oh and as for spurs being a big club.

...they're not except in their own lillywhite 60s era minds.

And yes, your European adventure was great wasn't it? Rewarding those oh-so-loyal fans by making no effort to compete and fielding reserves. Classy. And of course, that not-at-all crooked shister Redknapp in charge just keeps on adding to that pervading sense of 'the Spurs way'. Talk about arrogance...

However a sizeable chunk of your fans jumped on Freddies statement and believed it as read that you were actually the 8th biggest club in the world....which makes it even more laughable!

And when Boro can get their ground full for two weeks running, then you can comment upon turnout.

And there we have it again....a jawdee fan who believes size of the crowd is in some way a statement of a clubs size!! You lot are so hung up about the fact you get sell outs that it is your divine right to be a big club!! We know we're small....we have a catchment area not even a fraction the size of yours and we know we're a small club....but then we dont profess to being big ;)

As before, while there's an internet, there will be idiots.

There will also be a varied & diverse number of opinions, I can only base my opinion on what I have seen!

As before you cretin the only people that make this claim are other fans. I am yet to meet a Toon fan that has ever referred to us as 'the best fans in the world'. If you want to get your 'facts' from the likes of Sky, then I pity you.

You cant have met many, I have a jawdee fan at work who says it constantly

but then if you are from Boro, your brain is clearly damaged from the ICI fumes :p

Sorry but the way barcode fans were jumping on the players backs it is no wonder they got relegated.

I mean if someone kept calling me a useless whatever as a footballer, I would think stuff the fans and their club.

If they get boo'd why would they try to give 110%?

Also, 55,000 Fans in a one-club cities ground doesnt make you a big club, it really doesnt.

As for europe, it wasnt a priority this season, that is fact. Look at Ipswich when they prioritised the uefa cup, they got relegated, something that we couldnt allow to happen.

And as for Harry Redknapp, the man is a 100% total god in my eyes, I love the man to death. How many premier league managers, a week after getting the job, would take time out to personally write a letter congratulating a supporter on his wedding day??? Harry did and when I spoke to him at the spurs/pompey game in the car-park I said hello, we exchanged a chat and I mentioned "my names Jon Primett", Harry's next comment was "how did the wedding go then?"

What a TOTAL legend that man really is.
