Delighted Newcastle went down, incredibly chuffed.

Still, next season they will be champions and win the FA and league cups according to their deluded fans as they are a massive club with the best fans in the country and are automatically entitled to success as they have a large ground. HA HA HA HA!

Middlesborough are just dull and boring, always have been. They wont be missed a bit like Coventry City aren't missed.

And who is it that you support?

Aberdeen ;) Mind you I havent been to a game since 1991!
Sorry if that offended, Boro just always seem to make up the numbers in the lower half of the table. Whenever they come on MOTD I just fall asleep.

lol coming from a Sunday league fan hahaha

Boro where the third highest scoring team two seasons ago so your argument falls on its ass.

I am not a real fan, just an armchair one!
I like to watch CL and premiership not the SPL, in fact I don't watch SPL at all so your dig about Sunday leagues and general anti-Scottishness is wasted on me.

If I find Boro a dull team that's up to me isn't it?
The OP was about the Premiership not how poor the SPL is.

For most of us neutrals the premiership is about 4 teams, the 4 that play to the latter stages of the CL and contend the premiership, the rest make up the numbers.
I do however like Newcastle Utd because of the 90's era when messrs Asprilla, Beardsley, Ginola, Albert etc etc were terrific to watch. I also like Leeds Utd because of their great team 7 or 8 years ago that were also great to watch and their tradition.

You can't make me like Boro with some scoring stat from 2 seasons ago, sorry.

ass? Oh dear another Yank wannabee?

Frankly Jon shove your opinion up your vacuous and capacious butt. For a Spurs fan to bang on about delusions of grandeur and claims of being a big club etc. is just about the definition of irony.

Get some of your own opinions based on evidence in future rather than trotting the smae tired old myths. Just so you know, here are some truths for you:

Toon fans do not call themselves a big club - that's everyone else

Toon fans do not expect to win anything, they would just like to and they see that as one of the points of supporting a club

Toon fans do not believe anyone is a Messiah - that will be the media that keep churning that one out

and there are many more, all of which seem to be based on the ramblings of cockney hacks who can't be arsed to do any research and thinks that the 100 idiots that Sky convince to hang around outside St James' are in some way indicative of Toon fans.

Frankly, I've always thought that fans that seek pleasure in another team's relegation are a bit sad. I couldn't care less who goes down as long as my lot don't. I get no satisfaction from Boro going down and even if we'd stayed up, I still wouldn't have. They are not my team ergo I don't care how they do.

That's what supporting YOUR team is all about.

Congrats to Burnley.

Come off it Toonarmy!!!

So Freddie Shepherd never said that you were the 8th biggest club in the world then?
And if you go onto the Newcastle fans message boards or FMTTM message boards they're not littered with posts bleating on about the fact that you are a big club because you get 55,000 or whatever deluded muppets in there every week?

The same goes about winning stuff, at the start of every season on said message boards its all "we'll win the FA cup this season and finish 5th" or "we'll get the league cup and finish 5th" and its never "we'll win sod all and settle for mid table mediocrity!!

I think you need to have a better look at what the so called, self proclaimed best fans in the world are actually saying before you go spouting your mouth off on here.

I'm glad you got relegated, it will hopefully be the reality check you lot so badly need!

Toonarmy, when we were in lumber under wendy ramos all we got on the spurs boards were newcastle saying how funny it would be if we went down and how we were a little club compared to newcastle.

Now Newcastle are down, I am ecstatic. I mean honestly, an honours list which has a fairs-cup win 50 years ago as its main boast. Sounds like a no-mark club to me.

And as for the "best fans in the world" cobblers, does booing your own players off at St James Park make you good fans?

Oh and as for spurs being a big club.

1) EVERY home league game this season sold out
2) once again the 2nd biggest away following in the prem
3) ANOTHER cup final and european football this season gone
4) Where did we finish? Exactly
5) Look at our massive honours list, certainly beats a fairs cup!
6) A 22,000 person wait for a season ticket

I could go on.

I am still laughing at them :D I received this text earlier....

Unbelievable. only the Mags could get away with this...
Some eagle eyed Geordie t**t has noticed that their points total is wrong by a point which means they should actually go above Hull City. For some obscure reason the draw that they played out against West Brom in November didnt go on their points tally. Check it out on the net... its right!
The Mags appealed to the FA late last night. If their claim is upheld it will send Hull down retrospectively!!
Calsberg dont do texts for delusional Geordies who STILL think that they are too big to go down but if they did this would probably have been the best text in the world! :D :D

Im no fan, but I am pleased with the outcome for Hull, and equally pleased with the outcome for Newcastle, now at least if Shearer stays there he can only look like a good manager next season :D

If you want the definition of frustration try being a Fulham fan for 30 odd years. The only thing guaranteed is finding a new and usually more heartbreaking way of letting you down again. I sense a European odyssey stretching a wafer thin squad too far and relegation next season

I always thought Schadenfreude was a horrible, ugly character trait to have and this post has proven me right.
You should all be ashamed of yourselves.
Grown men stooping so low, I don't know.
You should have left all this stuff behind in the playground a long time ago boys.

Indeed it is. Finshed 5th,qualified for Europe, finished bottom the year later.

European football with definitely take it out of Fulhams squad, especially if they progress in the Carling & FA cup aswell. Fair play to Hodgson & fulham, though.

Best thing Newcastle could do is tell Shearer to do one & get a manager in who know's how to assemble a squad capable of getting out of that league. Not that there'll be many there to see it after their attendences drop by 50%.......

Isn't that what Dowie is for ?

Dowie will do the work, Shearer will take the glory, and do all the media stuff.

That is, if he's accepted the role. I haven't heard it confirmed that he has yet, has he ?

Nah, it's just a bit of boyish harmless friendly banter.

Very entertaining stuff, more interesting than golf most of the time :D

If you want some fun all you have to do is drop a bit of bait in the water and wait for a bite!! ;)
