Surrey County Council - Social Care - Referendum

OK - so now The Supreme Leader has explained her proposed Social Care policy. Must go have a read. But from what I am hearing so far - it's sounds a bit difficult to fully understand. Let's see.

I have to say that the headline that my M-i-L will hear "you won't have to sell your house to pay for your social care - we'll just take payment after you pop your clogs" will probably sound good to her - and that is good as one of her great fears about growing old (she is 87 today) is having to move out of her house to pay for care.

Well the good folks of Surrey are going to be spending a lot (re)paying for their social care after they pass on - whilst all those folks in rented accommodation; or living in a house worth less than £100k, or of low wealth will get theirs all paid for by the government.

An excellent piece of wealth distribution policy from The Supreme Leader that any Socialist would be proud of.

I suppose it will get us oldies downsizing, so not such a bad thing.
My MiL lives on her own in a six bedroom mansion with a massive garden big enough for a small estate.
