massive yawn
which is why I didn't go any further than suggesting. Using the clubhouse even after playing for some being not something they do - so hardly likely to use it when not playing. So be it.

"Car park golfers" will always be part of the game of golf and not really a bad thing
1. They won't be drinking and driving
2. People do have families and other stuff to do that doesn't allow them to spend an extra 1 hour in the clubhouse added on to the 5 hours they have already spent up there. They all still contribute to the club with their subs, comp fees, no doubt hot drinks and food during the road and even before.
I am new to golf and joined my club in November. I have seen the Pro around and he has seen me, but never bothered to introduce himself. I had lessons at another club before joining this one. When I want more, I will probably go back to the Pro at the other club. Like anyone else, Pros have to work to develop their business.
