Superstitions - things you think bring you luck ??

I don't really have any superstitions but I like to do everything right the morning before. For example, waking up exactly 9.00, and doing the same routine every time.
Bit weird, but last time I didn't do it, I shot 103!

I always use the same ball marker which is a Swedish 5 Krona and the top of the 5 always has to point to the middle of the cup whenever I mark my ball. The Titleist always has to be on the side reading from tee to green and I do this on the green and tee without fail. I also always use white tees.

Only play with a certain type of ball. Never, ever change. If I ran out, I'd walk off. Never happened as yet due to spending silly amounts on back ups. Too many people use random balls without realising each ball is totally different. Putting can be affecting massivly by changing balls.

Always have to mark the ball using Pro-Line with a little dot next to the number aswell.

I'm not really sure if it is a superstition but I always look for a broken wooden tee on any tee where I'm not using a driver.

I carry a lucky penny that stops me getting trampled by elephants on the course, it really works too!

My friend used to have a lucky penny for that exact reason. It worked well for him until his unfortunate golfing trip to Africa.............RIP

The other thing is.Even before his untimely death, when the lucky coin appeared to be working, it seemed to have a terrible side effect of making him think stack and tilt was a good idea.:)

Funnily enough given everything else that goes on in my head and my swing, superstition is never in the equation. I have a set routine I follow for warming up but not for any good luck, just the best way of getting myself ready to play. If I don't follow the routine (its hacking down, I get there late etc) I don't suddenly become a jumbled bag of nerves. Maybe a lucky keepsake or a lucky sock is what my game's been missing. Dang

I did have a lucky jumper, mustard colour, that I wore in every round of the winter foursomes that we won. Only wore it to give my partner confidence.:smirk: Think I might go and find it for tomorrow, as I will need all the help I can get.

I'm not superstitious but I've had the same pitch mark repairer for over 25 years. It's nothing special, just a cheap pressed aluminium promo giveaway from Bank of Scotland.

But now the worrying thing, after over 25 years I lost it on the course on Sunday! While playing with a right hand glove (it was very cold) I didn't notice it fall out when I got a tee out my pocket!

Will this have a dramatic effect on my game? Will my next round be crap? or great? I'll know on Saturday....

I've also started using an old white button with a metal eye in the middle for my ball marker, again nothing supertitious, it's just easy to see. One of our older lady members told me it was a button from a corset....

You lost the pitch mark repairer that made you play crap out of bunkers???? Thank god! :whoo:

I always have to start the round with 8 long tees and 4 broken tees in my pocket. I've never thought too much of it until Sunday when I only had 7 long tees in my bag and I couldn't help but go back to my car to get some more.

Fill in the blanks...
