Re:

They can all look decent when they have loads to do every game like Gordon, Foster & Hart (when they were @ Birmingham)

The mark of a top notch keeper is one that makes all the routine stuff look easy, does bugger all for 89mins then pulls off the one save they have to make.

Can't comment on Gordon like this because he hasn't played in a top side but from Dodger's post about him being dodgy on crosses, that'll rule him out.

Foster made mistakes @ Utd when called upon like this however he was young and has now had regular time in the sticks so jury is out on that one.

Hart ticks both the boxes for me so I'd personally put him down as the better keeper of the three..........for now.

Re:

How does my comments rule Gordon out Robobum?? :D(just re-read and that 'is' should read 'was'!) ;)

He was a tad weak on cross balls when at the Hearts but as I stated he has improved 100% on this now and is the real deal full package............best keeper in Britain.

Foster and Hart couldn't lace Gordon or McGregor's boots, that is a FACT!

Amen to that

That's plain laughable

Try taking these off :D

I saw Jim Leighton play for us (Reading) after he got dropped from Man U after FA Cup final. He played brilliantly, got his confidence back, and got back in Utd team. Doesn't mean i want another Scot between the posts though :D Our Aussie keepers not bad anyway.

If they are as good as you think they are they would have been cherry picked by now. Especially with Van der Sar being just shy of his 86th birthday. :D

Foster has the highest save percentage (in the EPL) so far this year (that Is a fact) but then he is busier than the top teams' keepers.

McGregor and Gordon are good keepers, but then so are Foster & Hart. I'd still take hart in front of all the others though. :p

Cherry picked? Are you asking about Hart and Foster? You would think if they were any good they would have been picked up by a top side instead of 2nd rate teams.

Only a matter of time before Gordon gets a move to elevate him to play for a top team like his fellow countryman does.

As I said, I don't think Foster is top drawer as his concentration wasn't great with Utd when he had his chances. Very good keeper, as he is proving at B'ham, but then he is kept on his toes all game by the lesser quality in front of him.

Hart is keeping Shay Given out at City who, IMO, was the best keeper in British football by a country mile. He has made very few errors whilst he's been #1 there.

McGregor may be the best of the lot but until he tests himself against better strikers no one will know?? Although he has let in more than a goal a game against some absolute dross this year??

Foster won't make it any higher than he is I don't think,I just don't rate him at all but hey that's what opinions are for eh?

I'll throw you another fine keeper who hasn't ever made it really..........Julian Speroni, top draw stopper but why the hell he is stuck with the dross he is at is mystifying!

Given???? Behave yourself man and give yourself a good shake, I agree he has got better with age but still a calamity waiting to happen!

Speroni was a legend when he was at Dundee ,cracking keeper for an Argie.

Foster may be one of those that gets better as he hits 30+, he's lightly raced in games even though he is late 20s. Alex McLeish has certainly done well by having him and Hart before him, they are the main reason that B'Ham have been fairly comfortable in the Prem.

Speroni is a bit gung ho and that makes managers nervous. One of the recently promoted clubs may have given him a shot at it, but they are all well stocked in the keeper area. The lad Gilkes @ Blackpool has been a revelation (like everything else about that club)
