Sub 80 !!

Well done Amanda. Have you wondered what you might score with a 14th club in the bag, maybe a lob wedge? I only use mine once every couple of rounds but it comes in handy, and I'm nowhere near your standard.

I have thought about it but not sure when I'd use it plus other half David swears adding one to his bag gave him the shhhhhhh.... unmnetionables ! Currently don't use my sand wedge as much as I should though and winter plan is to finish Dave Pelz's Short Game Bible and practice, practice, practice !

Great shooting Amanda and hope you're going to show off your golfing prowess at a few GM meets next year. Its funny how the mere thought of a good round can make the putter that bit twitchier and you start thinking that bit more. Why can't we leave the thinking until the end? Great shooting though

I certainly hope to play and meet my new found virtual friends in the golf world

Agree about the putter and oh to keep that carefree trust when the going gets tough !

Good shooting, Amanda!

I have had a horrible year on the course. It started off okay with some steady stuff, but around spring my entire game just deserted me to the point I stood over the ball not having the first clue where it was going to go. Not a nice feeling for someone who got down to single figures last year!

The last two or three weeks have started to see some positive signs, but I was still having the odd horror hole. Not something you can afford if you aspire to play at a good standard consistently.

I went out this morning and for the first time in 7 or 8 months started to feel comfortable with what I was doing. 79 shots later I was sitting in the clubhouse with a pint and a broad smile! My first sub 80 for six months, certainly not my first, but probably the most satisfying.

Excellent - perhaps I've started a trend  Onwards and upwards !!

I scored 84 today which is still a few under handicap so happy with that. Not much between the rounds really - 3 putts more (no chip in today) and slightly less accurate. Finished with a textbook par on 18 which makes me :)
