Sub 80 !!

Scored a gross 78 today - so just 5 over par

So close to gross par for the front 9 and just missed a birdy putt on the 9th - that would have been awesome but another day for that !! A couple of birdies and just 1 double bogey all helped the score.

I love soft ground, pins that can be attacked, preferred lies and I guess, golf in general !!

Onwards !!

Thats the stuff of dreams for me,came close the other day with 82 with two penaltys and two that lipped out.
Cant honestly think I can get that close again.

I play off 14 (for now). It's my 3rd sub 80 round this year and have been playing around a 10 handicap on average. Cut from 19.2 to 13.8 this year and hoped the last couple of medals would see more off but didn't play as well as I can...

It will happen though and I finally truly believe that

Ah but the differance between you and me is that you can play this game to a high standard,where as i'm in the hit and hope category but you never know.

It's about potential and an 82 with penalties and a couple of shaved holes is much better than hit and hope.

I have a genius of a coach. Next lesson is tomorrow and always come away with more knowledge and huge self-confidence. The latter is the big change for me this year for sure and a few bad shots, bad holes or even bad rounds don't shake my self-belief (much!!) anymore.

Good shooting Amanda, and you do like a bit of Ping gear don't you. I don't think it can be a sign of age in women as it is in men, as my daughter also has a full set of Pings an she is only 17 !!

I did play off the medal tees (shush!) but it for sure wasn't a medal. It did prove to me what happens in a medal though as by the 12th I realised I was on a good score and suddenly left putts short. Apart from once I got the next putt but left myself way too many awkward ones and started to feel the self-imposed pressure...

I jut changed from Mizuno although my woods were previously Ping. The 3, 5 and hybrid have taken a while to get used to but now they're firing nicely. Didn't realise Pings were for the oldies though?!

Really good apart from the autumn leaves which make finding a ball just off the fairway on some holes almost impossible! Fairways nice and lush now and greens softening - both suit my game. I have to say they really keep the course looking good and are building a new tee on the 16th as this winter's project plus lots of new trees have been planted.
