If the mods want to move this to reviews feel free. But seeing as this was Part of a GM comp I thought I would put it in the lounge.
So the back end of November last year I was chosen to travel to Bury to try out a Pair of Stromberg shoes. I am not going to talk a great deal about the day as there is too much to say about the shoes. But on the day we tried the Stromberg shoes and then tried on some Greg Norman shoes for comparison. Quite frankly the Greg Norman shoes felt cheap and tacky. For some reason I was chosen to take a pair of the shoes away to try on the course. The shoes I tried in the indoor centre were summer shoes. Basically an all in one soled shoe. When I was leaving I was given a hybrid pair to wear, a winter shoe which was part hybrid and part soft shoe spikes. I was gutted. I was not a big fan of the screw in spikes having had problems with previous spikes.
From Strombergs point of view re winter shoes. They couldn’t have given them to a better person who plays on one of the muddiest courses during the winter months. They really were in for a major test due to the wet weather. The course was as muddy as I can ever remember it.
The day I turned up in them for the first time the majority of the lads in the fuddle said “ white, flippin white golf shoes, are you mad”. The are not 100% white with nice flashes of blue on them. But bottom line, they look gorgeous. A deffo 10/10.
In total I have worn them 16 times since then, it would have been 2 more but more on that later. It is a toss up on whether these shoes greatest feature is the grip or comfort. In the worst of the winter months, the grip was quite frankly phenomominal. Either walking uphill or downhill, not one slip in 16 rounds. And the comfort in next level. I was advised to walk around the house to bed them in. I didn’t need to. Someone else needs to come along and explain how the sole helps on the tee with transfer of weight as the sole is not a normal sole. It’s hard to describe. The fact they are waterproof is a massive bonus. Week after week, players kept saying “ new shoes”. Tashyboys secret to cleaning his shoes, water, washing up liquid and nail brush. They look immaculate after every round when I have cleaned them.
After 14 rounds a couple of the spikes were worn so I ordered some from the suppliers. 8 flippin days they took to arrive. I was not impressed, however it gave me chance to wear some adidas shoes I already have. Again they felt shoddy compared to the quality of these.
I really could wax lyrical about these shoes all night. And I wish I could post a picture of them, But I have signed the official secrets act.
Bottom line.

VFM. I honestly don’t know, but if these are priced well they should fly off the shelves. Compared to the adidas, Ecco, ( and I was a massive fan of them) these are by far and away the best shoes I have worn.

didn’t realise they had been released. If someone can give me the nod I will post a picture of these as they look like new. One thing others have mentioned, some white shoes start to yellow. These look superb.
