Read Rule 19, it describes fully the relief options for an unplayable ball.
Do you remember all the fuss when Michelson hit a moving ball at the US Open when he said it was going off the green. He could have replaced the ball under those circumstances and taken a shot less.
Putt off the green - does me fine - I do it enough Whenever you don't like the result of your stroke (wherever the ball finishes) you always have the option of replaying from where you last played with a 1 stroke penalty.
No, Bull Bay... Actually I think there's 5 or 6 courses on this small island, so not sure why you'd assume henllys! Though that IS a fun wee course too.
It was just that I've played it a few times and know it pretty well. Played Holyhead once and Bull Bay twice
A propos of nothing, I think the windiest game of golf I ever played was at Bull Bay. And I used to go to parties at Henllys Hall when it was a rather dilapidated hotel, and long before there was a golf course there...

Lol the first 2 holes run east to west, are hard par 4s with fast, elevated greens with trouble if you run off, so yeah.... It's a tough course! As someone getting back to the game and struggling to break 90 even when scoring 7 pars the other day, I'd say it is a difficult challenge! The rough is, well, rough. 40mph westerlies happen most weeks on the island. It's a lovely course though.
The course has some great views and I pay 15 quid a round by playing off peak. I'm often the only one there even in summer. That said, I prefer the challenge of my own course.
