At Knowle Park if you land in deer poo you must play the ball as it lies.
At Lydd, if you land on grass you must take relief.

Yeah but what I mean is that if you hit a shot you're not happy with, you could technically declare the ball unplayable and play another from the same place. What's the difference between that and "practice"?So are you not allowed to declare the first ball "unplayable" and play another?I asked the question to the pro and I said that when the course is quiet and no one is behind me I might fire another into the green if I didnt hit my 1st properly. He said to watch out as the club is hot on the rule and will be up infront of the committee if I'm spotted.![]()
Yeah you can play another ball like that, it's just a ruling about practising on the course that's all.

Thing is, if the right people with the money to do it got in there it could be a genuinely decent track.

There's nothing in the rules to stop you declaring a ball unplayable in the middle of the fairway if you want to.I see where your going with that but your then declaring a ball unplayable when it's 150yards away. It would have to go into a big bush or something to declare unplayable. It's a great call from 150yards... Might try that one!![]()
