Steel/Graphite......so which would you go for ?

As BobMac pointed out generally cuts, fades & I supose even blocks could be due to things getting a bit out of sequence as we try & put too much into drives. I've been blockingoff to the right predominantly or or occasional fade recently again not good, especially when mixed in with the occasional big high hook, probably meaning the hands are getting left behind & some breaking down maybe occuring, which will undoubtedly be looking myself some distance.

Must get the video camera out at asome stage to see whats occuring.

That said I do think when someone swings a graphite shafted driver at a higher rate of knotts than the shaft is designed for any torque issues with regular & lighter shafts could possibly result in the head being twisted open through impact, as trhe shaft gets overpowered. Its an unlikely senario for many, but I consider worth bearing in mind even if its more likely that we may simply have come through open anyway. Only way to be certain is perhaps to try a steel shaft in the Driver, which should not twist in the same way graphite can.

If you don't believe me, then pick up a driver, especially those a couple of years old & regular or less. Hold at both ends. In other words grab the grip & the head & try & twist I'll guarentee most people will get at least a few degrees of twist. Most modern graphite shafts have gotten better, though I still consider it as an issue with the basic consept of graphite. That said, as before I doubt it'll be the main issue.
