Yes we did it when we introduced 5 different tee sets for men - we also at the same time introduced 3 tee sets for women. We did not standardise par across the mens and womens tees, each set of mens tees is par 70, each set of womens tees is par 73.
Our tees are 53, 57, 60, 63 and 65 - equating to distances of 5300, 5700 etc. It means we have a couple of par 5s which not much over 400 yards but apart from this there are no glaring problems.
I think it is an excellent idea as you get shots according to the difficulty of the course (with CR-Par in place now) not due to the par of the course. I get 2 shots off the 53s and 9 off the 65s ) my HI is 6.0.
It works well just simplfies everything.
Google suggests it means a hole will be the same par no matter the tee you are playing off, per gender.
Nope, not heard about this at my club, so far (just checked, we seem to have it but then the ladies are only rated for reds and the men only for yellows and whites. Not that much of a stretch then)

It simply means that you have the same par on all your different tee sets. You need to have one master set that conforms to the required distances for par 3s. 4s and 5s - the other tee sets don't need to.

We did it a couple of years ago, but it only meant changing the Par for men playing off the reds.

We only have one hole where the par differs and that is a hole which has varied between 4 an 5 off the yellow and white tees ever since I have played at the club. It is currently par 4 but SI 1. None of the guys I play with can reach it in 2 although I could about 5 years ago but for the stronger players it is just 2 irons shots.

We standardised pars across all tees following our re-rating last year (NB, we still have different pars for men and women).
It means we do have one very short par 5 for both men and women, and one very short par 4 for women (this hole is a par 3 for men), from the forward tees. However, the SIs do now make more sense when compared to hole difficulty in relation to par, and it worked well over winter when these are the only tees in play.
There are so many courses that have different pars on some holes for different sets of tees that really make no sense (e.g. tees <20 yards apart) where standardising is a no brainer.

We've done it. It's not a problem except for our 10th hole. HUUUUUGE difference in yardage from the 'mens tees' to the 'ladies tees'
You might see the forward tee box on the left before the water on this somewhat dodgy and outdated video.
Off the white tees it's a very difficult par, and plays like a par 6 for a lot of players. Off the reds, it's a birdie opportunity.

Yes, in all circumstances i have heard of. In theory i assume you could change some but that sort of defeats the purpose of the simplification.
