St Pierre GM event

Was a great shot, I have to admit. Measured at 306 yards. I preferred the safer option of laying up in the bunker and chipping it out short to give me a better shot into the green (so I could blob the hole )

Funnily enough I was in the same bunker. Took a 5 iron out and cleared the first tree about 100 yards in front and thought it would run down the hill to the green. It was a great fairway bunker shot (by my standards) but end up in the rough short and left. I duffed the next chip too and had to settle for 6 for one point which was when I thought my race was run. Just proves you never know until the last ball has been holed.

Sean - glad you got home ok mate and hope you've finally got over it. Are you sure it wasn't just shock at seeing me actually string a few shots together I was worried when I didn't see you on here last night as you really didn't look good leaving Tuesday. Thanks for the company and to Martyn (Barham_blue) who had a stonking front nine (apart from blobbing the 9th like me) and then fell away a little. I'll definitely take up the offer to play your track.

I was right up against the face so couldn't get it out with anything less than a wedge. 3rd shot ended up just of the left side of the green. 4th was a thinned chip (only one all day!) to the other side of the green then 3 putts for a 7! Marvellous!
