St. Ives new years Eve - heaven or hell?

Anyone been ? Were not too far away in a taxi and wondering weather to travel across or not.

90% of people are in fancy dress, but is it enjoyable or a pain in the harris......

I don't mind queuing at a bar for a bit, but if madness from start to finish may head to Penzance instead.

Never done NYE, but in the summer its carnage! But that will be 90% tourists. cant imagine it would be worse than any other town on NYE. Just go easy on the Rattler!!

Last time I went to St Ives Pete, it was rammed with the older generation.

Stay in Mouzel. The crimbo lights are good and pub is great.
