srixon z star - anyone used them?

I am in the "love em" camp too but used a Bridgestone yesterday and liked that even better. The downside was that I bought a sleeve of 3 just to try them and they were £9.95 - lucky I didn't lose one!

I was a prov1x man, then tried Bridgestone b330 RX and s plus the z star, they are both better than the prov1 in my humble opinion plus they look white after 15 holes, the prov1 looks a faded yellow after 2 holes!

Premier Lake Balls [no-reply@premierlakeballs.com]

Have an offer on these at the moment, they are a good company to use.

I'm in the "don't like em" camp, someone said "clicky off the putter face", that's nailed it for me. My partner plays these and in our foursomes match we had to decide which ball to use, we stuck with my ProV1s cos A. he uses a soft-insert putter so saw no difference between them whereas I noticed a massive clicky difference and B he's a cheap-ass and doesn't like firing his own balls OOB, strangely had no problem doing it with mine ;)

Ball choice is a personal thing. I didn't particularly like the Z-Star, but like the Z-Star XV.

One thing is fairly certain though, it will slice and hook more than your current ball does.
That's the trade-off for better control around the greens.

I've got some from my GM subscription. I like them - hit them as long as I hit any other ball and I like the feel around the greens.

Haven't tried the Hex Black though so can't compare.

Are these Hex Black worth a look then, are they closer to the ProV1, 1X or Z-Star end of the spectrum? i.e do they feel hard/clicky/soft
