As title states I'm after some opinions on srixon balls, last year I bought a load of balls off a lad who was quiting golf due to injury, amongst this lot there were titleist, nike and a lot of different srixon balls which are
- AD-333
- distance
- soft feel
- Z*UR-s
- Z*UR-c

Now I'm relatively new to the game and was after people's opinions on these as I'm going to try them as they are like new,
Many thanks

Quite like Srixon balls. Their website is very accurate with descriptions of what each ball is designed to do. They aren't the worst company in terms of over-exaggeration IMO.

Check it out.

I've played the soft feel for the last year and more recently the ad333. Both good quality balls at very good prices

Being new to the game don't get too embroiled in choosing a super premium ball, buy a good value ball like the srixons and you'll be fine

- AD-333
- soft feel
These 2 are well regarded mid range balls.

- distance
These are distance pebbles, cheap end of market

- Z*UR-s
- Z*UR-c
These 2 are older versions of their urethane covered zstar tour balls. The best of the ones you have listed.

Srixon make good balls.

Welcome along. How long have you been playing and to what standard. I guess at least you have plenty of ammo. I guess a lot of it depends on our current standard as to which ball will suit

Hi, I've been playing since August last year but I seem to have picked it up quite quickly, I have a p.b of 10over at my local par 70 course but tend to average around 14-16 over, I've been told that I'm pretty long with being 6"4 and 18stone lol but with that length there is a lot of inconsistency lol

I bought some boxes of Srixon Z star fluorescent yellow on a deal from AG before christmas and have been using them ever since. Much easier to see in the semi-rough and they perform really well both for short and long. Excellent ball at reasonable cost

I would say

- AD-333 = Solid All round ball

- Distance = Hard as a hard thing from Hardsville. No, harder infact.

- Soft feel = Same playing characteristics as the AD333, just a touch softer to play.

- Z Star = Premium ball. Very spinny and butter soft. Probably not ideal If you're an habitual hooker/slicer.

I change between the ad 333 and soft feels (as well as Wilson dx3 as I bought 2 dozen cheap)

But I love em the soft feel sems to fly off my 3 wood and they're great around the greens and for putting

My pro thinks they're almost as good as a pro v1 around the green

Just bought a dozen Zstars for £20 a dozen. Think I might stock up with them while stocks last. I think the local independent golf store is clearing them out as the new Srixon premium balls are in stock.

ok my views on balls starting with srixon, i find the ad33 very hard like a cheap ball, the soft feel quite hard to, the z stars nice and soft an good value version of the titleist pro v1, titleist dt solo hardiest of the titleist range, the velocity 2nd hardiest, 3 nxt tour, nxt tour s, pro v1x, pro v1. starting with the hardiest first. if your new mate and like a soft ball with more stopping power and dont want to break the bank try wilson dx2 soft. if you dont care just buy the cheapest dunlop balls until you are better.

Ad333s in the winter and soft feel in the summer. Any that I pick up that are good are kept for comp rounds and marked ones are used in practice/bounce rounds.
