Srixon AD333 TOUR Ball

I used both the AD333 and Tour versions, but this year I have been on the Wilson DX3 Urethane. A very good ball, and easily worth the £25 a dozen I pay:)

The AD333 Tour is actually made by Dunlop.

It is a 3 piece ball whereas the AD333 is a 2 piece ball.

Personally I found they were lacking a bit of spin compared to Srixon Z Star for example. If you are looking for a slightly softer, better spinning ball at a cheap price you cannot go wrong with current clearance prices on the Nike RZN range. I can find very little difference between the Platinum and the White except for current price difference of £7.50 a dozen if buying 2 or more dozen.

I like the AD333 tour. Other three piece comparison include the NXT but if you want one a bit more out there (in terms of colour at least) check out the Volvik Vivid

Apart from round is there any similarity between the Volvik Vivid and the AD333 tour?

Of the two DX3's you'd probably want the urethane as a direct comparison to the Tour.

Both are three piece and with the Volvik at £10 a sleeve (at least around here) the AD333 tour may be a cheaper option. I've not done a head to head (but have reviewed the Volvik on my youtube). Again an NXT should be the same as both but I think if you tried all three there will be distinct differences. It's about what suits each golfer

I was in Johnny Reays golf shop yesterday and the Srixon rep gave me a couple of these balls to try. I usually use the Soft Feel or Ultimate Feel. Nice ball and reasonably priced.

Not impressed with the Volvik now. Was at first, but halfway through the third round it started "peeling". There was no cut in the ball any where, but the ball started flaking, a lot, leaving the hand full of dried skin. Not what you expect from a ball that price.

Was it the Vivid? Not had that problem yet but I don't like the feeling off the face. Planning to lose my last few at Sunningdale

It was bright yellow, and coincidentally, was at Sunningdale where it started peeling, after about 9 holes. Changed to a more normal white ball on 10. Took it to Sunningdale on purpose with a view to making it more visible if landing in the heather, didn't lose it, but did lose the white one I changed to......

I usually use AD333 and AD333 Tour Balls, I've finally taken the plunge and decided to go for 2 boxes of Z Stars, seen as I'm playing more regularly and not losing balls during a round.

I love the Tours. Also the Z stars too. I bought some Callaway chrome soft truvis balls recently too and i really like them. Easy to spot in the air and i like putting with them. I bought some pink vivids yesterday and will try them out on Saturday to see what they are like. Hopefully will match my 'back to the fuscha' plus 4's 😂

Another convert to NIKE balls Platinum are a decent ball for sure, I've got some volt yellow RZN blacks to try out 2 dozen of each @ £19.99 from OnlineG

Was going TM TP5 but not at £43 a dozen

AD333 Tour are now my ball of choice as my best scores seem to come when I am playing them (coincidence?). I settled for Mizuno JPX Platinum towards the end of last summer then switched to the Tours but also dabbled with the Vice Pro + a couple of months ago. I like all three makes but the Tours seem to be giving me the best results at the moment.

I had the Ad333 tour at the beginning..then changed to Vice Pro Plus.....didn't have an opinion either way...just fancied a change and a bit lower spin......worked well for me, so have ordered 60 of the Pro Plus..as well as their Vice Pure Golf glove....that is the biz....fit is amazing................so back to the balls, the AD333 Tour definately seems to last longer, keeps it colour longer but has less carry for me, does not stop on a dime and feels different off the putter....so for the moment I am all German............das good yah!

Having played normal AD333 and the new Bridgestone E6 ball all summer I decided to put AD333 Tour back in play today.
I used them all last summer and for some reason never bothered swapping back after the winter, there's been a box in my locker all year so I thought why not.
I definitely gained yardage with all clubs, I was driving to where I was last year and irons were back to expected distances. Obviously it may have just been one of those days but the change was pretty consistent.
Balls seemed to be stopping slightly quicker on the green and I even managed to spin a wedge back 6ft and off the green, I've never done that before.
Weird thing is I left loads of putts way short, that was probably just my crap putting though :D

All good about the ball bar the putting. Probably pilot error!

Funny you should say that. When I moved from the DX2 to the AD333tour I thought I gained a little more distance. I'm too inconsistent to know how far I hit the ball on average but it just seemed like it was going a bit further.

I think to be fair most of us on here, including me as a 5.1...bar the few 1's and +4, can't really tell the actual advantage of one premium ball against the other. However, if you think you have a premium ball and have bought into the 'dream' then that gives you the confidence to drive/putt etc...and that is all it is really...confidence. We can all shank it, pull push...like the pro's (Jordan?!) you just have to find a ball that makes you happy!
