The white plastic in the hole has to be a certain distance below the lip of the hole,so the top one is ok but the bottom one is not.

the bottom hole is wrong, I think the liner is supposed to be 1 inch down. Hit the second hole even marginally quick and the ball is going to rebound.

As there is are no pitch marks visible in either pic I'm going to guess they were not taken at my gaff?

Picture 1 has the pin out, picture 2 doesn't.

I always have the pin out when I chip, as it makes the hole look bigger.

Clearly the case in the pictures above. Either that, or the holes or balls are non conforming.
