Was in Nevada Bobs today as I had to take back a tshirt bought for me as a pressie for my birthday on Monday past.
I needed a new golf bag anyway and have plenty of Tshirts so decided to use the credit towards a new bag.
This immediately caught my eye, the pic simply doesnt do it justice. The colour is are rare as rocking horse poo.

was 110 and got it for 80, while I was there I decided to get some new clear iron covers (I know some folk hate them but I am keeping my AP2s for a long time and want them to stay fresh looking, plus clear suits more colours than the blue ones they also had.)

Then just when I grabbed a groove cleaner and paid for it all, I saw a row of MD wedges and decided that I would get myself a 50 degree Norman Drew. Look at it, its beautiful and the milling lasts longer than the titleist variants. Say hello to spin city!

Right the dilemma,
I have a driver, 3 wood and 5 wood, 3-pw, 50,56,58 and putter. Which club do I drop? I would tend to love using all of them, the one that steps out is the 58 as teh 56 can do 99% of what it can anyway. Any nuggets of wisdom out there?

58 was junked for the 50 and am loving it already, it certainly backs up more than the 56 vokey spin mill which entertained us the whole way round. it sits in that gap of around 100-125 yards I had previously.
Think i'll pop the 58 in the for sale section.

A fantastic wedge - but very soft, suppose it wont be a problem as th eAP2's are covered. But my old superstrongs are well bashed- I changed to vokeys and the Vokeys dont get even remotley the same amount of spin.

Where did you get the iron covers - I fancy a new set as the hozels are getting a few marks.

Ken, Nevada bobs, 17.99 iirc, you can get them on the net a little cheaper but then there is delivery. My pro didnt have any and the neoprone ones were wrecked and looked shoddy. All I need now is a new set of wood covers and Im all done for another couple of years!

The superstrong players 58 that I have is virtually spotless, it hasnt really suffered bag chatter, neither has the vokey but then it turns brown and would hide most anyway. The spin from the 50 is unreal, I had a 52 degree a year or so ago but couldnt get on with it back then, I blame my swing rather than the club but my swing has come on a little since and feel I have a fighting chance of hitting all of my clus well first time now (back then it was hit and hope totally!)
