We are arranging a boys break to celebrate a pals 50th, we want 4 days Golf + Tennis, 8 of us going all tennis players, 4 regular golfers + 4 occasionals. We are thinking La Manga as its all on site, does anyone have any other suggestions, we really don't want to drive when we are there. Cheers

Done La Manga. Quality accommodation, ok for eating out and drinks. Really enjoyed one of the courses but thought the other two were forgetable.

Done Vilamoura twice. Good choice of accommodation, to suit different budgets. Plenty of choice for eating and drinking. Virtually every hotel runs minibuses out to the courses. More choice for courses, and enough close by for it not to be a problem.

Enjoyed both but wouldn't rush back to La Manga - will be back on the Algarve in Oct but going further west this time to try the Pestana courses. Stayed at their hotels before and they're decent.

Went to Portugal for the first time last month, and will never go to Spain again. Great place and courses and the people actually seem to be pleased you are there...in direct contrast to Spain!

i've been to Vilamoura twice and been hugely impressed. I'd certainly recommend for a visit, though I didn't play tennis there, i'm sure they must have the facilities.

Definitely Portugal.

Have not played in Spain but have a couple of friends who have and they were not impressed.

Oliva Nova in Spain has both tennis courts and an amazing golf course (voted Seve's best designed layout), the only problem is you would need to drive for it, so probably out of the question.

Portugal for me as well, course wise they are similar but Portugal doesnt have all the high rise buildings that blots the landscape with Spain, plus I've found the overall quality higher and the people a tad friendlier- depends where though but if I had the choice it would be Portugal each time.

Done Portugal And Spain many times, but there's one place that beats the lot, as its Europes largest golf resort, and has tennis, swimming, gym and every other facility you're boys will need. La Calla Golf Resort, which is 35 minutes from Malaga airport. 35 minues from Marbella and Purto Banus. 3 golf courses all which are different but stunning, plus a 9-hole course and golf academy. Brilliant and are doing some great deals at the moment. Hotels, apartments, food, bars and MILF too
