I'm only 28 but sometimes feel as if my joints are a little stiff. Am i right in saying that codliver oil is good for the joints?

Im a heating and plumbing engineer so they do take a bit of a battering!

yes, CLO tastes awful though especially if it repeats!
Glucosamine is supposed to be good for joints - never taken it myself though.

Good diet, non impact exercise, cod liver oil, glucosamine and chondroitin, all good for joints and general good health.

Warm up and flex the joints before playing should ease the stiffness if they suffer during or after golf.

It may be as well to go to the docs as it may be a sign of something more serious. If not make sure you stretch well and warm up properly and try not too hit to many balls off range mats as the jarring will make the problem worse.

Glucosamine and CLO will help but they need to be taken regularly and there will be a delay beofre you start to see any noticeable results.

i'm lucky that in my job - I work for Bosch as a domestic appliance engineer - we have work trousers that have pouches for knee pads to slip into,. I also use a gardeners kneeling pad which i keep in the van for when i forget my pads.

Doesn't Cod liver oil now come in capsules which are tasteless ?

A good thing to get used to if you can is eating oily fish, really good for you and joints. Also making sure your overall diet is a good one.

I also work in the domestic market and have knee pads to protect my knees. But the bending time after time is what I feel is doing the damage. I also can't put pads in the rest of my body...the positions I have to get in to is crazy.

Helps in other departments though ;)

I've been getting Glucosamine from a bunch called Zipvit for a number of years now. Quite cheap compared to the shops.

I was using Glucosamine from the same company. Worked out a lot, lot cheaper than buying from the shops but I didn't really notice a lot of difference after using them for quite some time. I gave a blooming great pot of them away to a mate of mine.
My brother uses Glucosamine on a regular basis though and swears by it.

Yep, agree 100% both are ace for your joints but will take around 6 months for the Glucoaamine to work and the Cod liver oil a few weeks.

Some people swear by Red Bush tea, from South Africa I think, for joint properties - bit of an acquired taste though.
