In all seriousness though I took an inch and a half off an old driver and could not feel the swingweight change at all but it did seem to play slightly stiffer fnaar gulp.

I never regretted chopping some off my Ping G5 or W/S Spine.
Both worked even better.
Currently considering going from MX700 13.5 (HT) to G15 12, as my swing speed is up this season. The Ping does feel long, just as the G5 did.
Most drivers are too long. It's for the distance, but hey on the fairway is the way forward......just play me on a good day and find out

I have the G20 12 with reg Tour shaft and its superb
The Tour shaft is slightly stiffer than the standard reg

despite all that and 'my' link showing shorter is good, I just got a TM superfast burner older black version and I believe their shaft is longer? I'm hitting it better than any driver last 10 years
