This thread reminds me of the days when I used to use an old snooker cue with a tub of Lurpak Sellotaped to the bottom and a smarties tube for the grip. it was a cracking putter with a real buttery soft feel.
It didn't perform well on warm days though so I swapped it for a Rife Barbados.
