Sadly I am missing out of our annual trip to the Royal Aberdeen Open in September due to playing a bit too much golf and heading to Munich for the Oktoberfest but out of interest I thought I would take a look on their website the other night to see what the charge for this year is and could not believe it when it showed that it was full already!!

No wonder though,fantastic track that'll be getting revisited come 2013!

Anyone heading to it? Stevek??

To be honest, I'm surprised it took that long. It's a top quality track, if it's first come first served I'd expect it to fill up straight away. The Tassie at Carnoustie filled up in 4 minutes last year (360 people) and the Eden tournament at St Andrews filled up in 1.5 minutes this year (240 people)

Fortunately, I got into both of them

Dunno Steve,£40 I think but there is a comp you could enter on 16th July at an absolute steal of a price..... http://royalaberdeengolf.com/page23/tournaments.php !!!!!

Seriously though,told my old man to go fill his boots at that price,I'd pay triple that to play this beast.
