Best investment I ever made. Just got back 10% of my initial installation cost for the last three months tariff.
Anyone else got them.

Would consider them if I had the cash to buy them outright. Stay clear of these 'free' ones where you rent your loft space to the company. The leases are, in the main, awful and they can, in extreme circumstances, make your property very hard to get a mortgage on and so very hard to sell.

Is that 10% of the installation cost with full ownership, or are they part of a lease deal?

Believe the best windows of opportunity have long passed...

And, as has already noted some 'deals' can have a negative effect when selling on...
Was looking at place in Caister a while back, with solar panels, and was advised not to touch with the proverbial barge pole...

One of my regrets is that when one of the best deals to be had I said no because I was seriously thinking about moving. That was 13 years ago.

My brother had his done at that time, he spends most of the summer abroad or holidaying in this company and the electricity company keep sending round an engineer to check he has not done something to the wiring because he uses no electricity himself. His paid for itself several years ago.

Agree a good friend of mine has been involved in a senior position in this industry for many years. Best opportunities for residential properties long gone. Hard to see the value at the moment

Full ownership Dibny, me bro was a registered installer ( at the time) and fitted said panels at cost price. when the government paid there best tariffs. Would be interested to see how good the investments would be now.

Hosue came with them, with craft timing (using delay start) I can make the most of them. Electric costs under £1 a day despite us not really taking steps to save and using things all day. Can do more saving if we really tried.

Our gas is where we need to get our costs down really, thankfully barely using it at the moment.
