First of all I’m not aware ofthe detail on tomorrow’s eclipse but it has got me thinking. I’m assuming thatit will go fairly dark somewhen near 9.30 (not sure of the exact time) so ifyou are fortunate enough to be playing golf tomorrow morning are you likely tohave the bizarre scenario of having to stop play for a few moments (not surehow long!) until the eclipse has finished?! Of course, I’m guessing most peoplewould stop anyway to catch sight of this special moment, but it is a bitbizarre having to stop at half nine in the morning due to darkness!

I’ll tell you what though, one of those bright orange poker chip ball markers described in the otherthread will come in handy!:clap:

In Southampton you will barely see any difference in light - sorry! It's only up north that the effect will be noticeable, and even then it's more like a dip to evening twilight for and then back again. With the level of cloud over the UK even that might not be noticeable!

Oh and of course, obligatory warning not to look at the sun.

Why aren't we being sold eclipse glasses like last time round? Weren't they free with the sun or something?

Last time the path of totality was over the UK, so there was a lot more interest in it. Also right in the middle of summer holidays, so likely to be clear - unlike tomorrows being at 9.30am on a (likely) grey March day!

Best bet is to watch the coverage on BBC2 with Prof Cox & co.
