Playing in an outing at Falkirk Carnmuirs many years ago I managed to hook the ball OB on the 18th hole. The old A9 runs along the other side of the boundary wall. I took out a headlight on a passing car. Driver was a bit annoyed and even more annoyed when it was pointed out that if he hadn't been speeding he'd have missed the ball altogether by my playing partner.

I have had a near miss on the road hole at Don Grove. I would say its 100% her fault Chris. Mikee247 should be able to clarify 100% on the ruling etc as he is a member there and i cant imagine it has not happened before. Also if you want, my neigbour is the bar manager (charlie) so if you need me to go ask him if he can get her name or anything, let me know.

Back to the Q, i almost hit a hook drive into parked cars who were at traffic lights along side the 18th at West Hill. Sawtooth will confirm, they were very lucky indeed that the ball hit a big pine tree and bounced back in play! it was motoring low and hard right at the traffic queue!!

Yep many moons ago on a local par 3 course in the Curragh . 16th hole , elevated tee cant remember the distance but i was hitting a 5wood , strong wind off the left .. aimed at the road , creamed it and ball never turned , whack off the roof of a Nissan Micra .. he skidded to a halt , there was a serious dent in the roof , he went into the portacabin / shop of the course,

i never heard anymore about it ..

i would say it would be different story now tho... id definatly reach with a 5 iron now :D :D
