Because there is no need to square the face you dont make some contorted effort to acheive it.
 
Because your practice swing doesn't actually look like Tiger :D

Personally I rarely take a practice swing, I don't see the point.
 
generally becasue you aren't trying to propel a ball a distance, or at a particular trajectory; you are just swinging the club.

then, when the ball's there, you 'try'....

Something to do with muscles tensing/tightening under load - most people practice swings are a relaxed affair but then, even the most relaxed amongst us, just think that little bit more about it when the ball appears!

I've seen your practice swing. More like a tiger chasing a water buffalo;)

The practice swing is a full backswing and follow through. A lot of golfers hit AT the ball, instead of through the ball...
