So who broke the forum layout?

Whats happened to my forum page?

My forum page has suddenly gone 50% to messages and 50% to adverts, all down the right side. Is it me or has it been changed and can I get rid of the ads?

it's the income takeover, ads versus forum members. They have to sort something as the menu in our settings are all skew wiff and as others have said photos are pointless.

Just like the mag, next they'll have full page ads

....and the first ad is just a repeat of the permanent ad that has always been at the top of the webpage so it is automatically a waste of space

I love this place but the new format is virtually unusable (if there is such a word). It has quite rapidly gone down the list of "must go to" websites when I log on. Please change it back GM...please...

Sorry Mike and GM I'm normally a big fan of everything you do but in this instance I thimk you've made a big mistake. It makes the forum if not unmanageable then less user friendly and will in my opinion not really encourage user traffic

Couldn't the ads go across the top, rather down the right hand side... Less wasted space and makes the forum more readable.

Pretty sure people wouldn't mind scrolling down the page rather than having it all cramped up on the left? Advertisers get the same amount of space and we can return to using the forum as normal?!?

No problem with having adverts displayed, but please let us have the screen back once we're past the ads.

A quick check and on my screen it's about 25% empty space, 25% ads and 50% forum. Please fix it.

It's obviously a minor mistake that has been made at the end of the day. See post time of this thread. I bet it will be fixed tomorrow. Why do people always assume the worst is beyond me.

Missed that post actually. If they really do leave it with half the site overlapping the other half so it's completely unreadable then another forum will undoubtedly be getting a boost very soon. Very silly idea indeed.

Not sure what is worse, the slight change to the forum layout or sifting past those with 16 lines in their signatures. looks ok on Chrome btw, just a little more condensed.
