Problem with that though Brian is that people voted to give our parliament more control.
Are they capable of managing that extra responsibility?

I think running the country is very different from trying to bring home a deal in which the UK Parliament is nowhere near agreeing what should happen next. Lets look briefly at what the EU have done. They've put together a deal and said to the UK that's the deal on offer, take it or leave it. Pretty straightforward.

The UK's choice is take it or leave it... pretty simple. No the UK Parliament wants to renegotiate something that is a take it or leave it deal. Different sides in Parliament are using the issue for their own domestic ends too, or appear to be.

Have the vote on the deal. If it doesn't pass, leave without a deal... pretty simple. But what will happen after the leave with no deal. Both the EU and the UK will negotiate a trade deal, and whilst that's ongoing WTO. AND the vast majority of WTO with the EU is tariff free. As for Customs, just check the paperwork, electronically as per the Port of Rotterdam, and everything runs smoothly.

I hear from the Spanish side that a lot of Brexit will run very smoothly. I hear from the British side it'll be a train wreck........ who's telling the truth? Not the British Parliament. They want it to fail.

We aren't the laughing stock, the EU politicians are. They are acting like children by trying to make it as difficult as possible for us to leave.

How difficult is it to understand that all the EU are doing is stick to the rules that define the EU; they are sticking to rules that we knew of in full before we started this whole process and that we knew they just would not flex very much at all on - rules that they could not flex on - and rules in respect of the Single Market that the UK was largely responsible for defining; they are defending the integrity of the EU and the EU27.

And we were told by Remain that this is what would happen if we left - but we were told by the likes of Johnson, Davis, Fox, Duncan Smith et al that that was all rubbish - Project Fear - and that the German Motor industry would be demanding that the EU acquiesce to the UK wishes and desires. I am still waiting for that German knight in shining armour to appear to rescue us (taking back control - love it). But where is that German motor industry demanding voice today - I am not hearing it. But of course we know where it is - because over a year ago we heard that voice.

Ah - we were told back then - they might say that today but come the day they'll make sure a good deal is done with the UK - we were told.

Embarrassed? No just very angry that we have been led to this pretty pass by a shambolic government cowed by a bunch of self-serving right wing Brexit fanatics in the Tory party.

The clowns in Brussels know that if we do not come to an agreement then the UK has the option to leave with no deal, what happens to their position of no flexing then?

Total shambles. Those who voted leave should be ashamed of themselves.

What a crock of....poo.

As much as I disagree with leaving I'm equally as concerned that over 50% of the population feel the EU doesn't ring their bell.

Engaging with both sides of the debate is needed to resolve some very deep issues. Being part of the stone throwing team doesn't help in the slightest... says as much for rabid Remainers and some of the language coming out of them that could be equally applied to the rabid Brexiteers.

I really can't be bothered to go over it all again.... But the one and only thing I'd do differently if I had any influence is put in place competent people who wanted to leave. NOT incompetent remainers who have sabotaged one of our greatest opportunities in decades.

Fox, Gove, Johnson, Leadsom, Davis and Raab have all had cabinet roles. You're meaning PM aren't you? Weak point given how hated May now is by many remainers, she hasn't exactly made us happy either. You'll recall Leave means leave and No deal is better than a bad deal. May went full out leave but then realised way down the line that 27 v 1 ain't a great bargaining position and has humbly taken what's offered by EU and dressed it up as a success but fooling no-one. Johnson isn't even a real leaver, just chose that role to try and oust Cameron for PM. Who would you have had as PM from June 2016 out of interest?

Are there any?

There might be, but to be honest no half decent politician is sticking their head above the parapet on either side. Its such a defining moment in the UK, whichever way it goes, that there's not a single politician who wants to step up to the plate and drive things forward.

Sturgeon, forget independence for a sec, has pointed the finger at both May and Corbyn and said how poor they are. She 100% right.

And what has your reply got to do with your comment about all Leavers should be ashamed. Are you deflecting because you've been pulled for it, or do you now have the balls to explain YOUR arrogance?
? Im not arrogant, have you seen the news? We are in a mess. Just as we are really pulling clear of the last decade we shoot ourselves in the foot. I spend my days dealing with offices all over Europe and they really cant fathom what were up to.
We are shifting our entire business to Luxembourg and we wont be the last.
