£45/month !!!!!! Jeezuz

Blackberry user here, which I adore for the email capability, but with Unlimited Landline Calls, 500txts, and 500 Mobile minutes, I'm only paying £25/mth, and thats for Business use !!

Any more for personal use is just crazy boys, no matter how good the Phone is to 'play with'.
Sounds like some of you have got far too much 'disposable income' !

I have 1200 minutes and unlimited texts. 500m+texts may be enough for a dinosaur like you, but other people might just need a bit more ;)

Agree with that, my current contract is only £20 a month for everything I need and that is why I am loathe to change to an Iphone and pay more than twice as much for the same service.

However, the Samsung Galaxy is the most Futureproof phone on the Market. It's got everything the Desire has (it runs Android) but has a much better quality screen and is powerful enough to accept any android updates upto 3.0 (the only phone currently available that offers this I believe).

That's a slightly unfair comparison, given that the Galaxy has only just come out, there is apparently a DesireHD model coming out at some point that will have (amongst other things) a dual-core processor that will mean it'll be capable of running 3.0.

Not sure if you mean the EVO, but they did not currently have any plans to release it over here as we do not have a 4G network :(

Even though the Samsung is a newer device, it is rumoured that they may not even get the new 2.2 update let alone any further updates.

Nno, I don't mean the EVO, I know it's not coming over here, there are stories circulating up an updated Desire with larger screen, faster processor, more memory and HD recording (although the standard Desire now does that on 2.2).

If the Galaxy doesn't get 2.2 it'll be because Samsung haven't munged it to add whatever vendor specific bits they include. That would be a shame, looks like a nice device.

I haven't got a clue what any of that means

Your deal is something like i am on..

i have a iphone..

What i did was take a new handset that was making good money at the time on the bay.. sold it and got a pay and go iphone and put my sim into it..

Must say so so good.. its the app's that make it.. having access to itunes and everything else..

I dont think i could ever go back to any other phone now..

With the 4G out now i am sure you should be able to pick up a 3GS at a fair price.

well basically yeah....

i have customers text if they cant get through on the business lines, i used to run a society and people would contact via text or email, and a wide social friends network means my phone is hammered daily

500 texts wouldnt last me a week, my lowest bill showed 2200 text messaged in a month.
