Just checking out the course map on our website, playing a round in my head lol.
would be interested to hear views on this blighter - our 1st hole at Aylesbury park. Newcomers tend to play it without fear. The more you play it the harder it becomes - for me anywayas I have a few mental scars. As you can see its not very long at 385 yds of the whites but you have a tricky tee shot to start with.
To carry the ditch/bridge is approx 190yds, but you need to be accurate with the landing if your going for it as there is a ditch on the right and left.
In comps I just lay up, but that in summer has caught me out as well as its flat all the way to the ditch so anything over hit will run into it. The ditch itself doglegs - so if you go right of the bridge you can carry it easier.
If you go left of the bridge the ditch runs in the same direction as your shot.
Its a real bugger and tough start to the round.
Edit - there is a second bridge on the right hand side not clear in the first image I uploaded - If you can draw it over that bridge thats the line I reckon. Never done it successfully myself
