Question for owners......mine just went dead this morning,no reason,it just died. It was fully charged last night so it aint the battery it just won't bloody well switch on.I have put it on charge and it is now giving me the fully charged green light but the bastard won't switch on so before I call the company up tomorrow does anyone know what the warranty is on them?A year I would think? Mine is just coming up for 2 years old.

Also is there a huge difference between the 2.5 and the 2 as I may be able to get a 2 dirt cheap as a replacement.

No idea mate however on a separate note my Skycaddie SC2.5 had real difficulty downloading courses over the last 2 weeks. It kept saying preparing to sync and never went any further.

I wonder if Skycaddie are having a "glitch" at present.

I've had an issue recently where my SC5 won't recognise the end of a hole and automatically switch to another. It's a bit disconcerting when you are looking a for a yardage for your second on a par 4 and it is saying 562. Even if I turn the unit off and on again it doesn't always reset and pick up where I am.

My SG4 played about a bit about 6 weeks ago but has been as good as gold since. It froze up and wouldn't reset as I recall

I seem to remember the warrenty only being 90 days but mine is well over a year old now

Just shows how dependant we are getting on technology! I forgot mine the other day and even though I have played the course dozens of times, I found I was very undecided on shots/distances. I have now decided to leave it at home more often (Apart from comps that is!) and rely on the Mk I eyeball. ;)

Last time I connected my SC2.5 to the CaddieSync it updated the software. Time before the CaddieSync desktop updated.

The SC programme has changed slightly, one recognisable feature is that it now asks you if you have finished a hole where before it asks if you wanted the next.

Dodger, you could try connecting to the desktop as you don't need to be switched on to sync. If it does sync, it should then update and that might fix it.

I thought my 2.5 had died earlier this year but it was just that the resolution had changed (by itself) so that it was so faint I could barely see it.

Then a couple of weeks ago the thing would not sync to the computer.

Register your issue with the online faults - I had the guy connect with my PC and he sorted my issue - the drivers had corrupted themselves although I thought I had checked all that out myself?

They maybe able to help identify the fault depending if it connects to your pc/laptop or not?

had a look for the SG2 online - a few problems reported on US sites.
is it still supported? I've not seen it on the CaddieSync worktop. also I don't think you can transfer your subscription from one SG to another, or between seller and buyer.
