Sky Email Access!

Anyone having problems with their Sky email?

Since yesterday evening all I get is a message saying "there is currently a high amount of traffic, come back and try later!"

Still the same this morning and refers to the olympics!

I can see everything on my Android phone but I can't access emails on my laptop so I have changed my email address on here to another (Hotmail) so I can access and receive alerts on my phone & laptop!

Anyone experiencing the same or similar?

Yes there is a known issue with the email and tools portal. This is currently being investigated.
If you log on to www.sky.com/helpcentre/servicestatus this will advise when the service is available again.

It was freezing a few times when logging out of emails but I just put that down to storms and weak signals but this is different.

I've moved my alerts now and with having other Hotmail & Google accounts, I might now come away from Sky altogether.

TBH I don't use my sky email account for anything other than my SkyGo and remote record facilities.
The system is due for an overhaul and upgrade early in the new year.
