Sky contract

Not sure how the installer could offer you any deal. They are installers and usually the contract has been agreed before they come and install the equipment.

What was the contract you originally signed up for? The one that the installer came to install.
Did you sign anything else whilst the installer was in your house?
I already had Sky. He said he could get me a special deal for Sky Sports.
I previously had Sky regular channels and the golf only.

Now I am really confused. If you already had Sky, what was he installing? Unless you changed to Sky glass or something you wouldn’t need an installer.

Fitting a Q box to replace my old skyHD box.
He also replaced the dish.

That brings in a new dimension

When you switched I assume were you already in contract, so is that contract that is now ending.

Previously any discount I have arranged mid contract I have got continued in to the new contract when the whole contract ended.

This is something I would want to discuss person to person.

I used it last month. Am going through the cancellation process as they have put my package up from £40 to £75. They have come back and offered the same package for £47 but I’m holding off for a better price.

I think you need to click on the Virtual Assistant on the website to get to the online chat.
I just used the online chat this morning to agree a new deal. Got them down from £47 to £42.50 and no admin fee (the previous offer included a £20 fee). Sky Signature, Sky Sports Complete and HD. Thats it sorted for another 24 months, when I will need to go through the whole rigmarole again.

Could you please post a link to the chat? Thanks
I don't think there is a direct link. You need to sign in on sky.com, click on the Virtual Assistant (bottom right), then go through a few questions on there before they connect you with a real person.

How did you manage to get Sky Golf without getting the full Sky Sports package? I have no interest whatsoever in football, cricket etc but have to take the full package to get the golf.

I had it for years, but it might be that it is no longer available.

OK, I have got it reduced to £57. Can’t spend any more time on this.
Sky Signature, Sky football and Sky Golf.
To be honest that is a bit of a rubbish deal. I know new customers tend to get better deals but looking at Sky's website, you can get Signature and full Sports for £51 a month. I have always found ringing up and speaking in person is better than any of the webchats. Never managed to get some of the amazing deals you hear about where they (apparently) get 6 months free, etc, but usually get a decent enough discount.

EDIT: You also said you were paying £20 a month and were complaining it was going up by £15 a month - total £35 a month. You now appear to have complained and got £57 a month. Not the best negotiating there!
