Hi fellas,
I'm needing some suggestions for Base layers please, something I can use for Winter Golf and Skiing too, and needless to say, light, stretchy and barely noticeable, if thats poss ?

Over to you......

Thx

Primark have some in that mrs DB got for me, a thermal base layer top very warm indeed and super thin/lightweight and also skin tight base trousers. I think the pair came in under £20.00. Brilliant value. I use the keks under my waterproofs and they are perfect for that.

Whatever brand you decide you will get good deals at end of spring just before the good weather starts.

I have paid £5 for a couple of canterberry ones at TXMax last spring. Reduced from 30odd quid

Gotta go with Skinz's for me !!! Look ok, can get ones that keep u warm and help to stop u building lactic acid from all the exersice :P ohh And McIlroy has just signed a 5 year deal with them aswell !! The kid knows quality :)

treated myself to a Galvin Green, nice top, just a pity it shows off my great athletic toning :)))
I also use my good old berghaus underlayers that I have for years. But I did discover yesterday that you cant beat the base layer, a good old sweaty golf top (ie not your climacools etc) and a good quality jumper.
I was as snug as a bug in a rug yesterday.
So Galvin Green gets thumbs up, but dont be fooled by golf adverts, the less expensive walking / trekking gear is just as good and can be found cheaper.

Where do you all play golf? I've never had to wear anything more than a jumper over a polo shirt when I play golf, unless it rains and then I might put a jacket on.

Hi Clive,
I presume your question was aimed at me. I play on the east coast if ireland, typically I wear a base/shirt/jumper.
I have been told I am a cold so and so.
It is great playing on a nice brisk winters morning with a nice gentle breeze.
