Six sprouts only.

Why do so many people want to kill the flavour of veg by adding other flavours.

The bitterness in sprouts only comes out if they are cooked for too long.

No, they compliment each other.. there's a difference! :P

Not to me.

Rather like restaurants that serve what should be good cuts of meat and fish covered heavy sauces.

They are trying to hide the truth!

Agreed, I love sprouts, I love all veg. HID grows loads in her allotment.

Sprouts should be cooked to death to remove all elements of the taste before eating.

Try only to eat at Christmas and 'because its tradition' to have them.

There's no such thing as too many sprouts, they make my Christmas.
Nice and hot, not too crunchy and stick them in a nice fresh bap with thick, thick butter ................. better than the main meal .
Then bubble and squeak the rest for the next day and cover in grated cheddar.

I love sprouts especially at Christmas. If I eat enough, I can usually fart my way through the Queen's Speech without stopping.

When I was a kid, my mum boiled the life out of all vegetables, cabbage was soggy slop, brocolli, carrots, parsnips all limp and lifeless. Sprouts were one of the few veggies I actually liked. About 20 years ago my wife introduced me to blanched and pan fried vegetables, pretty much eat most vegetables now, and still love sprouts. The only real problem with them is the afternoon side effects. :whoo:

Cooked cold sprouts to have has nibbles at night or the next day are just as yummy 😜

Peel off the outermost leaves and cut off the stump. Then steam them instead of boiling until they are firm so that they will accept a fork. Bad sprouts are ones that are hard like musket balls or soft as mush.
