Six birdies yesterday

I played 18 holes yesterday and 6 birdies. I am not sure if I have ever done it before and was delighted. I was less pleased however with the two TRIPLE bogeys on the card!

Still, a promising start to what will be a busy golfing year.

Hope no one minds me sharing this slightly self-indulgent post!

Good question.

Disaster 1 - easy par 3 (I was -4 at the time). 140 yards strongly downwind. Hit a smashing wedge but hooded it a bit. Still rising as it went over the flag - lost ball. Ended up with a six after getting a bit miffed.

Disaster 2 - 560 yard par 5 downwind again. Went for a colossal smack with a driver so I could be on for 2. Duck hook, lost ball. A duffed chip near the green led me to an 8.

Also missed a three footer in the round. Could have been great and should have beaten my previous best on this course which is -4.

I didn't mind the final score though as I had a lovely game with pals, took the money and played well. Nice to be out on the course after all the bad weather.
