Single Length Irons

im not asking you to bite at all Homer. I'm just mearly pointing out that you 'tried' something that others haven't and it works for you, I'm a big advocate of Aimpoint I'm just saying don't knock what you've not tried?

Tom Wishon has stated that single length clubs are nothing new as you rightly pointed out, but since the berth of the metal wood from the small TM metal wood and Callaway big berth the technology has improved and now we have the big heads and moveable technology and also a more of an understanding of biomechanics of the swing. With the components used for head design compared to the 70's and the advancement of shafts, I personally don't think it's a fad and it'll be around to stay but just like Aimpoint, you may have to try it but it certainly won't be mainstream.
Had a personal calibration session with Jamie last week at Woburn. It was brilliant and would recommend it. learnt a lot about my putting not just aimpoint (i have majorly dominant left eye, and i aim a long way left of where i think i do because of it)

As I am sure Mike is always on here reading these threads, surely we just sit back and wait for the message with date & time to pop in our inbox, right?

I'm sure that is exactly what will happen. As there wont be a normal fitting required I'm sure they will take us to try them out, take pictures etc at Sunningdale, Woburn etc. (am I pushing it too far there?)

I thought Wentworth, I really did, but hasn't that gone uber exclusive now? Maybe even too much for GM to manage.

I think Woburn or The Belfry, as it'd be fairly central. It'd be nice and accessible for all three of us

Was that with the calibration strip from 10ft or the speed control?
If it's the calibration strip I bought one over a year ago and Jamie ran thru it at Forest Pines when he visited soon after. Aimpoint has changed how I see, feel and putt over the last 4years in doing it and Ive holed a lot more lengthier putts then I have done. Just need to go on the speed control course.

Did a bit of both. Where did you get the calibration strip from? Jamie said he'd sort me out but it's supposed to be tour only.

My speed is pretty good but my dads wasn't so he did more speed

i got it from Alison. I thought they were going to release it to general Aimpointers?
The calibration strip got me more focused on speed and how I putt, muscles I use and length of backswing on those 10feet and under lengths. It's been an eye opener having that strip.
