Just wondering if shoulders are pointing left of target at address could this cause a hook? Everything else square to target though. Thought that would mean a slice as your open to target line. But if its just shoulders does it make a big difference

No, they're supposed to point left of the target at address.

No doubt, somebody will be along soon and tell me I'm wrong though

If you are having problems with hooking apart from grip, check you are not moving to much towards the target in the downswing so at mpact your head has moved too much in front of the ball and shoulders are left of target line at impact ?

I had found when i did this i hooked it even duck hooked it

Kept more stable and head behind ball at impact at the rest sorted itself out nicely, started to draw the ball as well
