Tiger has said that he doesn't want to just turn up and play, doesn't want to make up the numbers
If he doesn't believe he can win then he won't tee it up
Does anyone genuinely believe he can still win..?
He can still swing the club but his body won't let him get around the course anymore

Should those that don’t make the cut call it a day as well? After all, they lost to a bloke on one leg who apparently should give up.

Didn’t say give up entirely, retire from PGA Tour, get healthy and compete on the Seniors Tour at the end of next year, he’ll still be able to compete in Majors.
👆This…..He’s made 24 straight Masters cuts and won fifteen Majors. There’s no possibility of ‘tainting his legacy’.
If youngsters don’t know how great he was, tell them to google it. The young don’t know anything anyway.
He’s 49 and Tom Watson almost won The Open at 59. Keep on keeping on Eldrick.
Do you not find it sad that (possibly) the greatest golfer the game has ever seen is struggling with health issues brought on by various accidents and self inflicted problems?

If it was as simple as “just” a broken leg then yes, once healed he’d maybe get back to the top of leaderboards, but the back, the drugs and everything else is taking it’s toll and his best days are behind him.

He’s had 5 operations on his left knee. 5 operations on his back. He had surgery on his right leg and ankle, following his car accident. And he had the ankle fused in his most recent surgery. No pun intended but the guy is a walking miracle.

Maybe he thinks he’ll be competitive, and maybe he is up to a point, but he’s competing against guys that are younger and way fitter. I can’t see a win in him on the regular tour.

As for should he call it a day? That’s up to him.

He should have called it a day a while ago - play the seniors tour and use a cart, play a few comps with Charlie - he doesn't have to prove anything to anybody.

Of course he can keep playing majors and other comps if that’s what he wants to do…but let’s not call him heroic when he does…and I have little sympathy for self-serving martyrs. I know that sounds harsh but at the moment that’s where it’s going with him.

He still has the ability, made the cut at the Masters which is proof.

It’s his fitness that is stopping him compete, he’s ok over 2 days, but 4 is too much for him at the moment.

If he can improve and go 4 days then he can go on for as long as he likes, but if he can’t……… he should either join LIV and do 3 days 😬
Or spend the next year working on his fitness and join the senior tour.

Nobody likes to see a wounded Tiger

LIV is the answer. Only 3 rounds

There was a strong rumour that he would announce his retirement after his Masters is finished....he would play the Majors this year as a kind of Farewell Tour.
I think coming DFL today will make him think......his time has gone.

Does someone who makes the cut finish last or is last place the worst when the cut is made

If Tiger was to win another major, he would be the oldest major winner ever.
This would be tough to do with no injuries, nigh on impossible with Tiger's history
