Should I have handed my card in?

In my opinion it takes a bigger man to hand in a crap card than it does to not hand it in.
Not handing it in when you've completed the course is a coward's way out really.
Even if you NR after the first hole you should still hand it in.

Be a good Boy from now on Tiger!! :D

Always hand cards in, I NR'd on Saturday with 58 for the front 9, still handed it in.
I think if you are in a comp, wouldnt you go down as NR anyway?

I had to hand in a card yesturday after thinking id had a mere. I can only sum the round up as quality hacking, a gross 86 with a net 71 (CSS 68 handicap is 15), ended up 7th.

I make a point of handing in every medal card, its the only way to get a true handicap.

The 8 and two 6's on all on par 4's got me yesturday, the 8th was on our 7th. 8 shots dropped over 3 par 4's.

I've not read the whole thread, but if the round played was a qualifier I can't even believe the question is being asked!

You simply can't just not hand your card in, whatever excuse you trot out.

I'm new to golf and I never played as a kid. The person I play with regularly started playing at the same time as me and probably knows less about the rules and etiquette. I've been a club member since April but have never had any form of introduction or anything to the game just what I pick i through this forum and the odd occasion I get to play with seasoned players. People just assume you should know as has kind of been evidenced in this thread.

I've listened to a lot of the pet hates forumers have and try to improve my etiquette. I had no idea that not handing a card in was such a faux pas but that's kind of why I asked the question.

Please bear with me I'm still learning. :o
