I played the par 3 of our local course yesterday and shot a 69, took 6 shots off my previous best.

Followed that up by shooting a 95 on the main course (par 71). The first time I have shot below 110 never mind 100.

I realise they probably aren't great scores for most of you but after playing for a year I'm happy with my improvement and really feel like my game is getting better. Tbh the main course score is probably a freak result even though I've been threatening to break the 110/105 barrier (my mate and I's next goal in our progression) but it's still encouraging.

Let's see if I can repeat that on a different course next weekend...:whoo:

Cheers :)

Tbh I will be happy to get within a few shots of 95 again and get a little consistency. Then start to press on lowering my score.

Then I can treat myself to some new irons

A PB is a PB and we all have our own so it is special to YOU. Enjoy it and the trick is to go lower next time. 90 next

Second this. I can't stand people who would say "how can you be happy about 95?". Great shooting - only downside is you've got to go even lower to make another PB now

Thanks guys :)

Set up for next weekend with my regular partner. Different course, albeit one I have played before, so looking forward to that!

Well done mate, I've only recently started playing and have just broken 100 too so I share your joy! Good luck for your next round and keep us updated.
