Shame on all of you out there that never show your footwear some loving attention, so as the decent weather has seemingly arrived, I thought I'd post some examples of what Shoes should look like before your round :D

Hope it helps ;)

Nice to see someone who looks after their gear and is not contributing to the general decline of standards in this country..well done that man. 10 out of 10.

I must admit that I do like clean shoes. However with only one pair (after all I can't wear more than that), playing all year and the mudpit that some parts of the course have been. It just ain't gonna happen.

So how many hours did that take? Though I suspect that you play on a nicely draining links course!!

I might do my one pair if the course ever drys out. Until then. A waste of time.

Looks smart though.

Tbh - our course drains well and is rarely muddy, so my shoes are never blathered. We also have an Air Hose near the Proshop as we come off, so I always use it, and then its just a simple wipe down and polish once they're dry.

Anal, Sad, or not, I simply cant stand starting a round of Golf with mucky shoes, its like accepting a bad score before I've started !

Ours has been muddy, but a quick air hosing, and bring them home to dry for a day then a quick polish and they are ready again, it's not really a chore and you do feel better in nice shoes.

I like my shoes to be clean. Regularly give them a good old polish either before or after a round.
Some people turn up with shoes filthier than some old 1950's footie boots. Entirely up to them tbh. Personally I wouldn't feel right starting out in filthy footwear.

It's a bit like cleaning your car. I clean mine regularly, knowing full well that it will get mucky again very soon. I just like looking after my stuff.

Not a waste of time in my opinion, simply having a bit of pride in appearances.

The point i was trying to make is its sad to post a picture of your shoes on here basically saying look at me Bertie Big Baws with two pairs of Footjoy Classics, who cares.
It was like a similar post from from the OP about getting a large cheque back from the Tax Man ,who cares.
My own shoes are cleaned after every round as are my clubs but i dont boost about it.

Oooerr.......sounds like ur havin a bad day eh Steve ?

So what, Ive got 2 pairs of Classics, so have loads of fella's, and it wasnt a willy waving exercise at all. In fact, I got em on the cheap in Florida. Ooops,......that might annoy you as well........sorry ive been on hols 2yrs ago.

And yes, Classics do warrant keeping very well I know, but so do the pair of FJ Dryjoys that I have still after 10yrs of careful care & attention.......

Never mind, I hope everyone else views & reads the post in the spirit it was posted, which was without willy in hand.

Oh, and I'm only getting a refund from the Tax Man cos I stupidly paid him too much, that ok Steve ?

Maybe you wouldnt be bothered if he wanted to send you a cheque......

well i have to say, youve inspired me. ive got to take my golf gear out the boot later coz our lass needs the car tomorrow and i was going to clean my clubs but now im also going to clean my shoes. That is providing once i let them out of the bag i can catch the F**@"$s
