I would like to see a women's football team drawn to play a Premier League team in a fully-inclusive cup competition. They want equality - they can have it. And as Everton go 24-0 up on Chelsea Ladies midway through the second half, it's back to Harriet Harperson in the studio to spin her way out of this one.

Over the years I've coached a lot of girls (golf) and just as they mature and get good, they go off, get married, have children and aren't seen again.
Is it the same in girls football?

I don't think the game has been going long enough to judge that one yet. The issues for womens football regarding retention will no doubt be the same as it is for all sports however.

The funniest part about women's football is how hard the BBC Sport pages try to clickbait people to click on women football links.

It will be a headline with just the title of Football "Man City make new record signing"

Click the link and it is women's football article. Sure they can then use these click through numbers to show how popular the women's game is becoming...

Supply and demand......once women's football becomes as skillful and exciting as men's the crowds will appear.

Not sure that's the issue.... I just wondered when it became compulsory for sports businesses to run additional teams just cos someone says so?
