Shaft stuck in Ping G25 head.

I've just bought a new shaft for my G25. After undoing the bolt I am unable to remove the current shaft. This is even after giving it my all. It simply won't budge.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Try warming the head with a towel soaked in hot water while wrapping a ice cold cloth around the shaft as close to head as possible. With any luck the differential expansion might just help 'unstick' the two components. Be careful not to scald your hands but you want the hot towel as hot as you can stand.

Wd40 solves everything. Or as Drdel says the head should expand slightly and the shaft will shrink....................... Oooo matron.
