Shaft Change / R11

I'm looking to change the shaft in my R11 hybrid. The shaft i've bought to put in it does not have an adaptor/sleeve on the end of it. Question is, is it possible/difficult to get the old shaft (the one currently in the hybrid) out of the sleeve and to put said sleeve on the new shaft? Or will i need to buy a new adaptor/sleeve.

I'd appreciate any advice.

Have a look on fleabay for an adapter, they were plentiful for r7/r9 not sure if the r11 is the same or different?

loads of adaptors about on flebay i would think its easier just to put a new one on rather than remove exsisting one and then reaffix.

You would need a shaft puller to get it off to leave the shaft intact and undamaged. Easier to but a new adaptor.

Thanks guys for the responses. Good to know it's do-able at least.

The ones i see on eBay are from China etc. Are they legit? I can see some on Gamola for €25-ish, but i'd be more inclined to trust Gamola than eBay.

Not overly fussed whether the shaft is kept in tact or not when it's pulled.

If your not fussed about the old shaft. Just hacksaw if off and ream the adaptor out with progressively bigger drill bits. Takes a bit of time but it does work.
